  1. Dave says:

Suter, W J – Cheltenham  -1885-1902- William James Suter actually began work as a photographer in Cheltenham in 1873.

  2. Robert Lansdale says:

Have a Cabinet card with a distant relative of “Durance”. The card is by photographers Seville & Co. of Leicester. Any dates available?

  3. I have a collection of CDV glass plate negatives dating from the late 19C. I believe they were taken by Alfy Spurge, 7 The Corridor, Bath, since one has a scrap of paper attached with his business details on it.

I’ve scanned part of the collection and it’s visible here:

I was looking for two photographer’s, E. S Ball, 57, Regent Street, Cambridge and also a Ralph Starr, 108 Fitzroy St., Cambridge. Both I was told were my Spalding line that are in the photographs.

Any help, would be so much appreciated.

Ralph Starr had a studio at 108 Fitzroy Street, Cambridge, between at least -1892-1901-

E S Ball was 85 Regent Street in 1901 but by 1916 he had moved to 57 Regent Street
